About this talk
A year and a half ago, the pandemic forced us to pack up our offices to work from home almost overnight. It rapidly accelerated the trend for remote working, and established it as a normal part of our lives; whether we were prepared for it or not.
Despite the incredible (potential) flexibility offered by remote or hybrid working, a lack of adaptability and organisational preparedness has resulted in many working harder than ever before, leading to burnout and, worryingly, a growing mental health crisis.
This talk looks at how our attitudes to working in the ‘new normal’ may have changed in an unhealthy way, before discussing how we can ensure a healthy work-life balance is maintained as we adapt to the huge changes in the new world of work.
